Underwater images, Costa Brava, Spain

These are photographs made with a Nikonos V and a 35mm lens with natural lighting. The two pictures of the wreck were made with a Rollei half-frame camera.

Most images were taken in the Costa Brava, including: Medes Islands, off l'Estartit with a couple near l'Escala at Montgo Beach, a nice little bay protected from the wind and in a ragged area called Macizo del Montgri. Medas Islands are an important natural marine reserve, with no fishing allowed and therefore full of life. There are even several groupers over a meter long and it's a pleasure to explore those waters as shore diving in other areas are lacking in larger and inquisitive fish. I'll hope to catch them soon on film! These fish are actually curious, and if you keep still, will approach you to see what you are doing in their territory! I'll be updating these images as time goes on, and if you want to be kept informed just send me an email at avalls108@hotmail.com.
