By Road:
If coming from Barcelona, take the A-7 highway towards Girona and then Exit 9A
(Salida 9A) towards the coast. Follow signs to Santa Cristina d'Aro and Platja
d'Aro. Once past Platja d'Aro, (going north) you'll soon see a large Champion
supermarket after a couple of kilometers. Turn right after the supermarket,
straight towards the sea, right again on the beach road and after about 100
meters you can find us in front of the Tourist Office that's on the beach. We
are slightly recessed from the road.
If you're coming from the north on the A-7, take Exit 7, head towards Cassa,
Llagostera, then Santa Cristina d'Aro and continue as explained above.
Otherwise, if already on the coast, you can come via Palafrugell, Palamos and
then Sant Antoni de Calonge. (When getting close to Palamos don't take the
exits to that town, but continue on the main road until you see the signs
indicating Sant Antoni.) Torre Valentina is just south of Sant Antoni de
Calonge. Don't confuse Sant Antoni de Calonge with Calonge, they are two
separate towns.
Another alternative, curvy but nice, is the road to Calonge that winds through
the hills from La Bisbal. If you are entering La Bisbal from the north, you can
find this road just at the traffic lights after crossing the bridge in the
center of town. Turn right there and it's about 14-16 kms. to Calonge. Go
through Calonge, continue on the main road going towards the sea and after 4 or
5 kms. turn right at the first roundabout. Very shortly after (about 70 or 90
meters) take a right turn (you'll see a sign to Torre Valentina) that takes you
round and under the main road to pop up in front of the supermarket. Turn left
and you'll be facing the sea. Continue to the beach, right again until you find
the Tourist Office.
By Train:
One can take trains to the Costa Brava from either the main train station at
Barcelona Sants or at the Paseo de Gracia/Aragon station. Get off at Caldes de
Malavella, the nearest station to us.
By Plane:
Barcelona is the nearest international airport that operates year-round, but
for our visitors from the U.K., Girona has an airport that takes flights from
Heathrow, Bournemouth, and Manchester. It is much closer than Barcelona but is
only operative during the summer season.
